In 2007 Bill started Tioga Contractors, LLC in Tioga, TX to build stock tanks, clear land and construct building pads in the area. A native of Fort Worth and a licensed journeyman plumber since the age of 17, Jerry worked in the family business, Carter Plumbing Co., started by his father Charles Carter in 1953. By the time he turned 20 he had also obtained his master plumbing license. In 1982 Jerry took over the family business and ran the company until 2003. He then closed the shop and moved to Hawai’i where he worked with another plumbing company. In the nearly three years that he and his family lived there he successfully completed many projects, including multi-family and custom homes. They then moved back home to care for his aging mother and father who passed away in 2006 and 2011. In 2008 he joined forces with Tioga Contractors, LLC and took them from a site excavation contractor into the plumbing, electrical, underground utilities and Glass.
