Charles Carter opened a small plumbing shop in Fort Worth in 1953. His son Jerry took over in 1982. His grandson Eric runs operations today — and the fourth generation, Kaison and Ethan, is already learning the trade.

Charles Carter founds Carter Plumbing Co.
A native Fort Worth plumber starts a small family shop. The standard from day one is the standard today — fix it right, charge fairly, and treat customers like neighbors.

Jerry Carter joins the trade at 17
Charles’s son Jerry earns his journeyman plumber license at 17 and his master license by 20 — both while still working in the family shop. The next generation is officially on the trucks.

Jerry takes over the family business
Jerry assumes leadership of Carter Plumbing, running the company for two decades while raising a family with his wife Kimberly.

Carter joins Tioga — plumbing becomes the core
After three years on plumbing projects in Hawai’i, Jerry returns to DFW and joins forces with Tioga, growing the company from site excavation into a full-service plumbing & underground-utilities contractor.
